It was announced that Warner Bros. picked up screen rights to the supernatural YA Novel ‘Invisibility’ by Andrea Cremer and David Leviathan. Not much more than that is known as of now.

Now I haven’t read Invisibility yet (it’s on my to-read list) but I’m already highly skeptical about this being made into a decent movie. First of all, the book seems a little heavy in the romance which is totally fine… except that usually producers take that a little too far. This just seems like the next sappy teenager romance movie waiting to happen.
Also, when was the last time you watched a movie that actually did justice to the book? I’ve honestly lost all faith in movie producers these days, they tend to butcher everything I love about a good book.
Here’s just a few books that were awesome and I thought the movie absolutely stank.
– City of Bones (don’t even get me started on that one)
– The Host
– Percy Jackson movies
– Beautiful Creatures
It is a legitimate fear of mine now that the books I love are going to be made into movies. The ratio of good to bad book movies just speaks for itself. Movie producers either need to just not even bother buying the rights to a book if they aren’t going to do it properly, or they need to actually do the book justice. That’s what I have to say about that.
